As regular visitors to Brighton with kids and grandkids in the area, we're always hunting for quality independent coffee shops to add to our repertoire. This time, I decided to embrace technology and asked my AI assistant Gemini: "Find a top-rated café with excellent coffee within a 15-minute drive of my current location. Show me its reviews and directions."
Without hesitation, Gemini recommended Puck and provided compelling reasons why. I have to admit, artificial intelligence proved pretty smart on this occasion - the recommendation was absolutely spot-on.
The coffee quality lived up to the AI's promise, and the overall experience has definitely earned Puck a place on our growing list of Brighton favourites. The atmosphere and service were exactly what we look for in an independent coffee shop.
What particularly impressed me was their environmental approach to takeaway cups. Not only do they offer a discount when you bring your own reusable cup, but they're happy to store it at the café for your next visit. This thoughtful touch shows genuine commitment to sustainability while building customer loyalty.
It's refreshing to find a coffee shop that combines excellent coffee with forward-thinking practices and genuine community spirit.- Wait time

Really quirky building, really friendly staff, food choices are brilliant if you're after a snack/muffin/pastry etc. The medicinal part is a great choice to have but other more normal drinks are available for those that don't want that type of drink. Having a record shop upstairs adds to the vibe. Such a cool place. Would recommend. Thanks for looking after us.

When looking for a new café to try, I stumbled upon this little gem. Really friendly staff and very nice coffee. The sitting area is very relaxed and fresh, it's a good spot for meeting friends for a chat, reading or getting a bit of work done. Not only this, but they happen to sell bratwurst! Albeit the only thing on the menu when I visited (not sure if that's permanent) it was of high quality and you have a range of toppings. (Mine is currywurst sauce and sauerkraut)More reviews+12
Really good coffee, better coffee price than all the other chain own coffee shops and the saff/owner really friendly and nice to have a chat if you feeling under the weather The only independent coffee shops in this area.

There are two ground coffee houses in Brighton plus Pharmacie roasters, which opens on Saturdays only. Glad to find this one in the heart of Brighton, Seven Dials. So bold location, especially considering SBC neighborhood. Love atmosphere, cozy interior, coffee, of course.
A sweet little coffee corner that expands as you explore, with a record shop on the upper floor and a good vibes feeling on the ground floor. Enjoy nice hot drinks and great tunes.

Great coffee and the owner is a really nice guy. They've also got banging sausage rolls, a good selection of records on sale (including a featured wall with hand written recommendations) and lovely cookies and cakes too. One of my favourites in the dials!

I remember about 13 years ago, there was an Italian restaurant there. The owner was Aunt Vita. I hope they are doing well. I wish your coffee shop good luck and hope someday in the future I will have the opportunity to come to England and visit Brighton and your coffee shop. Part of my soul remained in that cafe and with those people that I constantly remember 😢 Those were the best months of my youth 💔
